Spring Break

Undefeated champion mare Black Caviar will miss the Melbourne Spring Carnival. After winning the Diamond Jubille at Royal Ascot the champion mare suffered a muscle tears in her hindquarter. Black Caviar has been very busy this past few months so a long break is what she needs. Trainer Peter Moody said that she's fine and has recovered from the injury but she still needs time to say that she has fully recovered. Connections will have a meeting and see the options available for the mare. The champion Mare is already a six year old mare as of Wednesday. Many anticipated that she will be slower now because of the injury but for her connections a break is all that she needs and she will be the same as before.
