BETTING ON A SINGLE RACE

WIN... |
This is the most popular bet you can make through the TAB. Simply select the runner you think will finish first. To collect on a Win bet, your selection must win. |

PLACE... |
To collect on a Place bet, the runner you pick needs to finish 1st, 2nd or 3rd for a field with at least 8 runners. Other provisions apply for fields less than 8 runners. |

EACH WAY... |
This combines a win and a place bet on the same runner. If your selection wins, you collect the Win and the Place dividend. If it runs 2nd or 3rd, you collect only the Place dividend. |

EXACTA... |
Select the first two place getters in the exact order they finish. For a Boxed Exacta, select two or more runners to finish in the first two places in exact order. |

QUINELLA... |
Select the first two runners home. You win a dividend if they finish 1st and 2nd in either order. For a Boxed Quinella, select three or more horses to finish in the first two placings. |

TRIFECTA... |
Select the first three runners in a race in correct finishing order. For a Boxed Trifecta, select three or more horses to finish in the first three placings. Boxed Trifectas are available from $6.00 (or $3.00 for a 50 cent investment). |

MYSTERY BET... |
If you can't decide - try a Mystery Bet. Our computers choose a Trifecta($1.00) or Boxed Trifecta($3.00) for you. Mystery Bets are great fun and can pay huge dividends. (Also available through telephone betting). |
BETTING ON MULTIPLE RACES

DOUBLES... |
Daily Double: We nominate two races at the same meeting and you select the winner of each. Running Double: Select the winners of any two consecutive races in the same meeting. |

QUADDIE... |
We nominate four races in the same meeting and you select the winner of each race.
(If no one wins, the pool carries over to the next live meeting.) |

STRAIGHT 6... |
Operates on all Melbourne metropolitan 'gallops' meetings and offers the chance to win very large dividends. The challenge is to select the winners of the last six races. If no one wins, the pool carries over to the next Melbourne/Metropolitan meeting. |

ALL UP... |
Select between 2 and 6 races in the same meeting. On each race you can take a Win, Place, Eachway or Quinella bet(s). When you win, your dividend is automatically placed on your selection(s) in your next race. |
