Warwick Farm

The 9 year old gelding trained by Chris Waller Danleigh won the Group 2 weight for age 1600m Chelmsford Stakes. The Mujahid gelding beats the favourite Secret Admirer and Peter Moody's trained horse Lights of Heaven. Danleigh now has 10 wins and 17 placing from his 55 starts to date. The 9 years old gelding was ridden by Hugh Bowman and started in barrier 4 in a small field of 9. Danleigh now has $2, 444, and 795 in prize money and can run from 1100m to 1600m.

The 1400m group 2 Furious Stakes was won by Clarry Conners trained horse Dear Demi. Dear Demi beats the favourite Meidung and seen to be the strongest in the line. She was settled back on the field and coming home from the outside. Dear Demi was ridden by the young jockey James McDonald and started on barrier 3 in a full field of 10. The Dehere filly now has $373, 650 in prize money and can run from 1200m to 1600m.

Odds on favourite Rain Affair run 4th while stable mate Tiger Tees won the Concorde Stakes. Rain Affair led the race but couldn’t sustain his speed. Tiger Tees won the race by 3 lengths against Mrs. Onassis with Satin Shoes. Tiger Tees now has 9 wins and 3 placing from his 13 starts to date and was ridden by Peter Robl. The Dubawi gelding now has prize money of $388,000 and has a minimum win distance of 1000 and a maximum win distance of 1600m.

Peter Moody’s trained horse and the odds on favourite Moment of changed run 3rd in the Tramway Handicap. Tagus trained by John Thompson won the race by a long neck against Gai Waterhouse trained horse Kontiki Park. The Encosta De Lago gelding now has 10 wins and 10 placing from his 44 starts to date and has a minimum win distance of 1300m and a maximum win distance of 1800m. Ridden by Jim Cassidy Tagus started in barrier 5 in a full field of 12.

Flemington

Hard to handle Zurella trained by Shaune Ritchie won the Let’s Elope Stakes. Although the 4 year old Zabeel mare is hard to handle he still manage to win by three quarters of a length from Hi Belle. Zurella now has 5 wins and 2 placing from her 9 starts to date. The New Zealander was ridden by Craig Newitt and can run from 1400m to 200m.

Odds on favourite Snitzerland won the Danehill Stakes last Saturday at Flemington. The Snitzel filly now has a minimum win distance of 1100m and has maximum win distance of 1200m. Snitzerland was ridden by Damien Oliver and has prize money of $1,082,300.

Southern Speed won the Makybe Diva stakes and gained his revenge on Manighar. Southern Speed was ridden by Craig Williams and started on barrier 6 in a field of 6. Southern Speed now has a record of 7 wins and 6 placing from her 22 starts to date and prize money of $2,687,250.
