Last Saturday four meetings has been abandoned due to worst track condition, these meetings were Gold Coast, Newcastle, Tamworth and Casterton.

Caulfield

It was thrilling race at Caulfield for the John Monash Stakes. Alpha Proxima and Rue Maple got out quickly and fast away was Platelet and Grand Britannia with Avienus on the fence and Tariana speeding fourth. The favourite Le Societe taking up the position with Hot Spin on the rail followed by Royal Bender and Second Effort and Zamorar fifth last, Green Birdie last of all. Alpha Proxima the leader on the 600m mark with Rue Maple and Tariana on the fence, moving up Platelet was 3 quarters away and Le Societe was caught between runners. Platelet in front and Royal Bender from the outside but its Platelet from the inside wins the race by a half head.

Platelet 1st ($13.70), Royal Bender 2nd, ($6.80), Zamorar 3rd ($2.00), Le Societe 4th.

Doomben

With rain continue pouring at Saturday's race at Doomben the track was rated a heavy 8. Brigadoon Jack begun brilliantly and took the lead. A 1000m to go, Summer See drives took the lead from Brigadoon Jack and Purettan with a length and a half and Lucky Luna getting back in the field, Meet George was last. Summer Sea Drive tackles up by Purettan while Brigadoon Jack got a lovely run. At the 200m Purettan took the lead from Summer Sea Drive, but Lucky Luna won the race from Pruettan by a nose and Brigadoon Jack 3rd. Jockey Anthony Allen also got a great day last Saturday by winning 4 of his ridden horse.

Lucky Luna 1st ($11.10), Purettan 2nd, ($2.20), Brigadoon Jack, $1.50, Vipera Gold 4th.

Warwick Farm

Irish Dream. Onecatstoomany took the lead after 200m then came Embark, Brilliant Light, Fifteen Carat and Startsmeup out wider, then followed by Martin Place from the inside then Lebrechaun, See The World. Getting back on the field along the inside was Glintz, Tromso and Irish Dream. On the course proper as they reached the 800m Onecatstoomany was still the leader by 3 quarters and a lengths with Startsmeup on the outside and Brilliant Light 3rd from the outside. See The World got the chance to improve its position with Irish Dream trying to make some ground and King Lionheart was last of all. With 200m to go See the World with Irish Dream and Startsmeup moved up. It’s See the World and Irish Dream but its Irish Dream who won the race.

Irish Dream 1st ($12.60), See the World 2nd ($1.30), Startsmeup 3rd ($1.70), Tromso 4th.
