CAULFIELD

The 2 year old gelding and first starter General Rippa won the Blue Diamond Preview (C&G) (1000m). Trained by David Hayes General Rippa won against the favourite Rusambo and paid $12.20. Ridden by Damien Oliver General Rippa came from last then stormed home to the finish and win.

Runners Up were Rusambo 2nd ($1.80), Ferment 3rd and Andre Roo Hoo 4th.

Samaready ($3.80) won the Patinack Farm Blue Diamond Prelude for Fillies (1100m). Trained by Mr. Mick Price, this galloper has won its first 2 and only starts to date thus making her prizemoney $117,700. She made a brilliant performance by beating her opponent by 3 lengths. Ridden by Craig Newitt, Samaready can run from 1000m to 1100m and win.

Place getters in this race were Formidable 2nd ($2.30), Sweetener 3rd ($2.60) and Members Joy 4th.

Premier trainer Peter Moody's trained horse Manighar won the Catanach's Jewellers Carlyon Cup (1600m). Ridden by Luke Nolen Manighar has 7 wins and 7 placings from its 23 starts to date and a prizemoney of $1,228,986. An absolute stayer, Manighar won by 2 lengths against ShadowFax who came 2nd in the race. Manighar's winning and paying $5.00 and can run from 1600m to 3000m.

Runners Up were Shadowfax 2nd ($2.50), Veewap 3rd $3.50 and King Diamond 4th.

Pied A Terre won the Hyland Race Colours Autumn Stakes (1400m). Pied A Terre Jump well and stayed outside the leader Collar but as they reached the straight Collar had a hard time on the sprint and that's when Pied A Terre took the chance and led the race and win

Runners Up were Proliferate 2nd ($3.40), Adamantum 3rd ($2.80) and Mister Milton 4th.

Everybody's attention was at the C.F. Orr Stakes as champion mare Black Caviar raced for her 18th to 18th win. Undoubtedly Black Caviar won the Stake (tipped by auzform) even though it’s her first time racing on a 1400m distance. As always the champion mare is relaxed and you can see that there's no pressure in her. At the 200m she was ahead of the rest in the field and stormed home with an ease. Black Caviar always impresses her audience whenever it ran. The champion mare 18th to 18th win gave her the prizemoney of $4,743,050 and can run from 1000m to 1400m and win.

Place getters were Southern Speed 2nd ($1.30), Playing God 3rd ($2.60) and Illo 4th.

Eagle Falls ($22.40) won the Schweppes Rubiton (1100m). The 6 year old gelding trained by David Hayes came back to her form after winning this race. He is the winner of the Oakleigh Plate but after that he never won any until now. He was ridden by Dwayne Dunn and was drawn in barrier 10.

Runners up were First Command 2nd ($1.30), Hot Spin 3rd ($2.30) and Karuta Queen 4th.

ROSEHILL

Smart sprinter and Joe Pride trained horse Rain Affair (tipped by auzform) won the Expressway Stakes 1200m race. This galloper proved that he can handle any track condition and win. He has 9 wins and 1 place from its 10 starts to date and making her prizemoney $534,200 and can run from 1000m to 1200m. Rain Affair ($1.50) won by 4 lengths against his opponent.

Runners up were Centennial Par 2nd ($3.40), Shoot Out 3rd ($2.00) and Winter King 4th.
