An exciting weekend for horse racing enthusiasts as Champion gallopers are racing this Saturday.

CAULFIELD

Caulfield will hold 8 feature races this Saturday 11th of February. Champion gallopers are expected to race on that day. Cambiaso is the competition of any galloper who wants to win this race. Trained by Danny O'Brien and ridden by James Winks this galloper won the Maribyrnong TRL in Flemington on a slow track. His last start was in Caulfield the Blue Diamond Preview (C&G) (1000m) and came 4th against The Travelling Man. Although ran 4th but still in very fast time.

Dangers for Cambiaso are Andre Roo Hoo and Ferment.

Race 3 the Patinack Farm Blue Diamond Prelude for fillies (1100m). Also a Group 3 race for 2 year old fillies in set weight and will have a field limit of 16 plus 4 emergencies. Anthony Cummings trained horse Diamond Earth is the main competition in this race. Ridden by Peter Robl this galloper has 2 wins and 1 placing from its 4 and only starts to date. Her last start was in Rosehill on a dead track where it ran 2nd in the Inglis 1200m race. This galloper can run from 1000m and win.

Danger in this race is Applegate.

Race 4 the Catanach's Jewellers Carlyon Cup (1600m) will have field limit of 16 plus 4 emergencies for four years old and upwards in set weights, Group 3 race. Grant Williams trained horse Ranger is likely to be the main contender in this race. The 5 year old gelding has 6 wins and 8 placings from its 19 starts to date. It also has a minimum win distance of 1303m and a maximum win distance of 2100m. Its last start was in Ascot the C.B. Cox 2100m race where it ran 3rd out of 12 runners in the field, God Has Spoken was the winner in that race. He won the Lee Steere Stakes November last year a Group 2 race where he beat Grand Nirvana by 2 lengths.

Dangers for Ranger are King Diamond and Shadowfax.

Race 5 is where the Hyland Race Colours Autumn Stakes (1400m) Group 2 race in set weights plus penalties for three years old and will have a field limit of 16 plus 4 emergencies. Benfica the 3 year old colt trained by Peter Snowden and own by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed is the main contender in this race. This galloper was last seen racing in Caulfield came last in the Zedative Stakes 1200m but still in good time. He found the field to short that he had a hard time during the sprint. But now with an extra 200m there's a big chance that he could win the Autumn Stakes. Ridden by Kerrin McEvoy he will start in barrier 3.

Dangers for Benfica are Sabrage and Proliferate.

Race 6 the C.F. Orr Stakes (1400m) Group 1 standard weight for age race with a field limit of 16 plus 4 emergencies. This race caught the attention of horse racing fanatic as the champion mare Black Caviar will race to take out the C.F. Orr Stakes and make her 18th straight win here. This race is Black Caviar's first attempt for the 1400m distance. Black Caviar trainer Peter Moody and her jockey Luke Nolen are both confident that the Champion mare can win this race. Any galloper who wants to win and beat Black Caviar must give all the strength they have to win as Black Caviar will give them a very hard time.

Possible runners up in this race are Southern Speed and Doubtful Jack.

Race 7 Schweepes Rubiton Stakes (1100m) Group 3 in set weights plus penalties and will have a field limit of 16 plus 4 emergencies. Karuta Queen the 3 year old filly trained by Neville Layt from Queanbeyan is the main challenger in this race. With 6 wins and 4 placings from its 12 starts earning a $1,739,250 in prizemoney and can run from 1000m to 1200m you will surely back on this horse. She won the Red Anchor Stakes a Group 3 race and came 2nd in the Schweppes Stakes. She also ran 2nd against Black Caviar at Caulfield for the Schillaci Stakes.

Dangers in this race are Zedi Knight, Eagle Falls and First Command.

Race 8 The Kevin Hayes Stakes (1200m) a listed race for three years old fillies in set weight plus penalties with a field limit of 16 plus 4 emergencies. The main contender in this race is the 3 year old filly trained by Mark Kavanagh Miss Stellabelle. This galloper has 2 wins and 4 placings from its 7 starts to date. She won on a dead track in Bendigo 1100m 3 year old maiden race and on a slow track in Moonee Valley for the Champaigne Stakes 1200m race. She came 2nd against Karuta Queen in the Red Anchor and ran 2nd in the 1400m Twilight Glow Stakes.

Dangers for Miss Stellabelle are Cute Emily and Chivvy.

Race 9 Geoffrey Bellmaine Stakes (1200m) Group 3 race for four years old and upwards mares in set weight plus penalties with a field limit of 16 plus 4 emergencies. 5 year old mare Hi Belle has a big chance of winning this race. Her 7 wins and 4 placings from its 21 starts include her winning in Caulfield 1600m L/Day Vase and the 1500m Summoned Stakes in Sandown Hill. This galloper has a minimum win distance of 1100m and a maximum win distance of 1600m. Ridden by Craig Williams Hi Belle will start in barrier 6 and will carry 57.5 KG.

Dangers for Hi Belle are Lets Be Happy and Miss Octopussy.

ROSEHILL

The Expressway Stakes (1200m) for three years old and upwards group 2 race standard weight for age with a field limit of 16 plus 4 emergencies. Rain Affair impressive run makes him the top contender in this race. This galloper has 8 wins and 1 placings from its 9 starts he can run from 1000m to 1200m and win. He won the 1200m At Sea Hcp in Warwick Farm on a heavy track beating his opponents by 5 lengths. He also won the Missile 1200m in Randwick on a dead track and on January this year he won the Carrington 1100m race in Warwick Farm on a good track. Rain Affair will be ridden by Corey Brown and will start in barrier 4.

Dangers for Rain Affair are Rangirangdoo and Sacred Choice.

EAGLE FARM

The Lyndhurst Stud Fillies and Mares Handicap (1200m) in Eagle Farm race 7 will have a field limit of 16 plus 5 emergencies for fillies and mares, weights raised 2.5 Kg. Cariad the 5 year old mare trained by Mr. Tony Gollan from Toowoomba is the main challenger in this race. Cariad last start was in Toowoomba where it ran 2nd in the 1200m Fillies and Mare Quality race against Miss Imagica. This galloper has a minimum win distance of 800m and a maximum win distance of 1200m. Cariad has been racing at Eagle Farm and Doomben though didn’t win but still she has a very good time.

Dangers are Carry to Fortune, Whateverwhenever and Risk Aversion.

Ascot

The Magic Million Perth 2 year old Classic (1100m) in Ascot race 7 will have 15 acceptances for Saturday. Miami Horror trained by Ms Donna Riordan is the main competition in this race. This galloper has 1 win and 1 placing from its 3 and only starts. He can run from 1000m and win and his last start was in Ascot 1000m race where it wins. Ridden by Troy Turner, he will start in barrier 10 and carrying 56.5KG.
