Preview for the upcoming races for the last weekend of 2011

There are three main race meetings this weekend the first being Ascot, Boomben and the Toowoomba night meeting with most of the tracks supporting normal club racing around the country.

Ascot

The $400,000 Golden River Developments-Perth Cup (2400m) will be at Ascot Race 8 with 20 acceptance in the race. The race is a Group 2 restricted three years old and upwards event. In this race is God Has Spoken, the winner of the C.B. Cox Stakes (2100m) in Ascot is taking part.

Ascot trainer Neville Parnham entered 2 gallopers in the race the C.B. Cox Stake winner God Has Spoken and the and 2nd place at the A.T.A. Handicap 80 class (2200m) Smart Twister.

God Has Spoken is a 5 year old colt and will be ridden by Steven Parnham, this galloper is used to racing longer distances with 8 wins and 5 placings from its 37 starts. It includes its recent win at the $227,000 C.B. Cox Stakes (2100m) in Ascot last December 17 where he won a against Kincaple,Tranquilty, and Saint Encosta. They will meet again at the Perth Cup (2400m) race on Saturday December 31, 2011. God Has Spoken will start at barrier 13 and will carry a 57 Kg in weight and will defenitely be the top contender in this race.

Smart Twister the 5 year old gelding will start at barrier 5 and will be ridden by Brad Parnham with Its last start is in Ascot A.T.A. Handicap where it came 2nd. Smart Twister has 6 wins and 8 placings from its 21 starts.

Kincaple will be a danger to any galloper who wants to win the Perth Cup this Saturday. The 6 year old gelding trained by Mark Reed a trainer from Hazelmere and to be ridden by jockey Dwayne Dunn. Kincaple has 7 1sts, 7 2nds and 3 3rds from its 26 start to date, with its last start being the C.B. Cox Stakes where he came 2nd together with God Has Spoken first, Tranquilty 4th and Saint Encosta in 6th place. Kincaple will start at barrier 18 and will carry a 56 Kg in weight.

Another runner up in the C.B. Cox Stakes (2100m) racing this Saturday at the Perth Cup is Saint Encosta a 5 year old gelding, trained by Newcastle trainer John P. Thompson. Sain Encosta will caryy 52 Kg in weight and will start in barrier 1. With 2 wins and 5 placings from its 28 starts. Saint Encosta will be ridden by Jason Brown.

Simon A. Miller also entered 2 horse in this race Senhor Da Gama and Lopov.

Lopov a 4 year old colt with 5 wins and 6 placings from its 22 starts. Its last starts was in Flemington Restricted 95 class (2800m) where it end up in 9th place. Lopov will start on barrier 20 and will be ridden by P. Knuckey.

Senhor Da Gama a 5 year old gelding has 6 wins and 8 placings from 23 starts and came 2nd from its last start in Ascot Coastal Midwest Transport Handicap 68 class on a dead track. This galloper will start at barrier 4 and will carry 52 kg in weight he will be ridden by Patrick Carbery.

Karnup trainer Grant William entered 4 of its trained horse's at the Perth Cup this Saturday.

Battle Emblem 8 year old gelding with 56 Kg in weight and will start at barrier 15 to be ridden by Paul Harvey. Tranquilty runner up in the Perth Cup and will start at barrier 8 and will carry 52.5Kg in weight. This 5 year old mare has 3 wins and 6 placings from its 18 starts and to be ridden by William Pike. Monlight Bay 4 year old mare that will start in barrier 6 and will carry a weight of 52 Kg. Moonlight Bay last start is in Ascot the WA St. Leger (2100m) where it came first. Another horse that is Grant Williams has entered in this race is the 5 year old mare Western Jewel who has had 7 wins and 7 placings from its 26 starts. Its last start was in Ascot where she won the A.T.A. Handicap 80 class (2200m). Western Jewel will start at barrier 16 and will be ridden by Ms Kyra Yuill.

Doomben

3 Feature races in Doomben, race 5 $150,000 The Good Guys B.J. McLachlan Stakes (1200m), race 6 $200,000 Carlton Mid BernBorough Handicap (1615m) and race 7 $150,000 Channel Seven Vo Rogue Plate (1350m).

Race 5 of Doomben $150,000 The Good Guys B.J. McLachlan Stakes (1200m) is a race for two years old Group 3 on set weights with a field limit of 16.

Noogoora Burr trained by Eagle Farm trainer David Lowler and is to be ridden by jockey Ric McMahon. He will start on barrier 6 and will carry the set weight of 56 Kg. This galloper has 2 wins from its 2 starts. Its recent win after a 70 days let up was in Eagle Farm $100,000 Phelan Ready Stakes (1000m) where it came first on a dead track. Noogoora Burr is a horse that stands out in this race and looking the goods to see it winning the race.

On Doomben race 6 the $200,000 Carlton Mid BernBorough Handicap (1615m) and has a field limit of 15 runners.

Fillydelphia is the galloper that definetly stands out in this race with 8 wins and 4 placings from its 21 start trained by Robert Heathcote from Eagle Farm and to be ridden by Jim Byrne. Fillydelphia will start on barrier 7 and will carry a weight of 57 Kg. Its last start was in the Eagle Farm Tatterall'S Recognition Stakes Handicap (1600m) where it came 3rd. Fillydelphia is a horse to watch out for this saturday.

The $150,000 Channel Seven Vo Rogue Plate (1350m)will be held in Doomben Race 7 a restricted Group 3 Three Years Old set weights with a field limit of 16.

Noel J Doyle trained horse Biggles is one of the horses that many punters want to see winning this saturday. Biggles will also carry the set weight of 56 Kg in the race and will start from barrier 4. Biggles has 11 wins and 7 placings from its 43 starts. His last 2 starts to date were both wins at Eagle Farm and one of those being the $100,000 Hanachi Gold Edition Plate (1200m) race.

The danger to Biggles Success is Rocket To Glory trained by Mackay trainer John Manzelmann and to be ridden by jockey Chris Whitely. Rocket To Glory will start from barrier 7 and will carry the set weight of 56 KG. A galloper with 5 wins and 2 placings from its 14 starts Rocket To Glory is surely a galloper to watch for.

Toowoomba

The $100,000 Neil Mansell Concrete Fillies and Mares Handicap (1200m) is a Fillies and Mare Quality race and has a field limit of 14.

Tony Gollan has 2 trained gallopers in the race Cariad and Falvelina. Cariad the 5 year old mare has had 4 wins and 4 placings from its 18 starts.
Cariad will start from barrier 8 and will carry a 58 kg of weight to be ridden by Kristy Banks. Falvelina a 5 year old mare with 5 wins and 7 placings from its 28 start. Falvelina will start from barrier 7 and will be carrying a weight of 58 kg ridden by Nathan Evans.
