Auzform Weekend Preview

Racing held over the weekend will see major meeting at Doomben with all other states entertaining standard club meetings.


Doomben 24th December 2011



One of the Feature races on Saturday December 24, 2011 is in Doomben Race 7 where the $200,000 Athol Mulley Memorial Lough Stakes (1350m) will be held. 14 of the best gallopers will be there, My Destiny is one of the horses you want to keep an eye on.

My Destiny is a 4 Year Old Gelding trained by Rosehill trainer Con Karakatsanis and to be ridden by jockey Jay Ford. This galloper has had 4 wins and 3 placings so far. Its last start was in Rosehill and in that particular race he won against Stratana and Sea Lord. My Destiny will again prove that his one of the best by winning this race but before he can taste success he must face the major dangers in his way.

One of the danger for My Destiny's success is the 4 year old gelding Adebisi trained by Eagle Farm trainer Ms Desleigh Foster and to be ridden by Paul Hammersley. Adebisi has had to date 6 wins and 4 placings from its 21 starts. Its last start was on Doomben, were he won the $200,000 Handicapped Group 3 race (1200m).

Excellantes a 4 year old gelding by Falvelon from Cantantes. Excellantes is trained by Robert Heathcote from Eagle Farm and to be ridden by J. Byrne. Excellantes, a galloper with 14 starts has 5 wins and 7 placings. Its last start was on Doomben the same race where Adebisi won. Although came he fourth Excellantes only lost by two and a half lenght.

Another horse to look for is Zero Rock a 6 year old mare which carries a 58 kg in weight and will be at barrier 8. Zero Rock is trained by Eagle farm trainer Kelso Wood and to be ridden by Chris Munce with 11 wins and 8 placings from its 26 starts Zero Rock is a galloper you want to keep an eye on. Its last start after a 161 days spell is on Eagle Farm were she came first.

Canterbury 24th December 2011

King Of Love will race at Canterbury Park in race 8 a restricted race for three year olds and upwards 80 class handicap (1250m). King Of Love a 5 year old colt will carry a weight of 53kg and will start from barrier 4. Trained by Warwick Farm trainer Rod Craig and to be ridden by jockey Tommy Berry, King of Love is an eye catching galloper. His last 2 starts after an 86 day let up includes his recent win at Canterbury 1250m race were he won by a length and a half. King of Love is surely an eye catcher.

Trainer Chris Waller has entered 3 of his trained horse in Canterbury in both Race 3 and Race 4. The horses are the 4 mare Praise Be, Savanah's Choice and Tropical Girl.
